About ACAU:
Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre Australia (ACAU) , is one of the project included in the “Escola de Capoeira Angola Mato Rasteira”, coordinated by Mestre Roxinho.The project aim to preserve, revive and develop Capoeira Angola, in its entire entertaining traditional, ritualistic, mischievous, and contextual form. For that purpose projects such as ACAU  and the Project Bantu for children and teenagers come to light. Currently these projects are being developed independently. Later on, they will merge into a unique concept

The association is a non-profit organisation. The association will remain in the Sydney council for an undefined duration and will enforce non-discriminative and non religious Capoeira practices.
Mission Statement:

The objectives of Capoeira Angola Cultural Center are:

To revive and preserve Capoeira Angola with the purpose of continuing the historical and cultural processes of our Afro culture
To maintain the values and philosophy of Capoeira as well as the memory and the teaching of our native African people and masters.
To teach Capoeira Angola and the Afro Brazilian traditions, the main teaching objective is to develop knowledge for the association members taught by the incentive and the eagerness, to learn traditions and history of people from African descent and the Afro-Brazilian. Afterwards Capoeira Angola will provide the apprenticeship that combines its three living levels:

- Cognitive,
- Affective
- Social.


To provide to the community the teaching of Capoeira Angola, granting access to anyone who is showing interest for this discipline.

Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre Australia will deliver its services without any kind of customer discrimination.

Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre Australia doesn't distribute money to, advisors, directors, partners, of contributor which is leftover.
Any gross or cash dividends or portion of assets achieved throughout the application of its activities will be provided by its members.
This is to comply with its non-profit status and in order fulfill its social purpose.
Within the development of its activities the Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre will enforce its principle of economy and efficiency.

Approach outline:

In order to carry out its purpose the Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre will put in place several steps of action;
Development and introduction of socio-cultural insertion for people at risk and underprivileged That is to say: children teenagers and adults who have to face integration challenge because of their social condition ( Verify with roxinho)
Implementation of training and “roda de capoeira” (Organised gathering student encounters where they have to put into practice the Capoeira teaching)
Delivering Capoeira Workshops in Public schools
Delivering Capoeira Angola to the wider public
Preserving and resurrecting the history and tradition of Capoeira Angola inviting the “Mestres da Velha Guardua” (They are respected elderly master society) in order to deliver class and lecture about the Capoeira teaching and philosophy.
Build up a library consisting of books, facts and, publication, of Capoeira Angola and African Culture.
Create a magazine to promote and disseminate regularly the work done.
Put into place partnership with companies as well as the public and non governmental organisations.

In order to fulfil its purpose the Capoeira Cultural Centre Australia, is likely to be organised into as many branches as necessary in whichever location of Australia territory
Membership:

Membership type and role:
Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre, there is no limit in the number of members who can share and agree on the objective and principle of the ACAU.
There are different categories of associates:

Founding member: is a person who is involved in the Constituting Assembly of the Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre and who has committed to it

Executive Member: Stands for any individual involved in the General Assembly in concordance with the founding member's guidelines.

Fellow Member: Individual, or Legal body who identify with the ACAU objectives, play a part in their income and contributions. These corresponding contributions will be defined upon the approval of the Chief Executive Officer.

Member's responsibilities:

To comply with the Profile agreement and Mission Statement
To respect decision taken by the general assembly
To guarantee positive promotion, loyalty to the realization of Capoeira Angola Cultural Centre Australia

BANTU: It's success has since inspired children and adolescents who have suffered from deep trauma due to poverty and war to discover relationships and build resilience through the teachings of Capoeira Angola.
